The Stone village
It is the Ukrainian
Stonehenge. You can visit it in Zhytomyr region, not far from Kiev – about 250
km.
Why is this place known as
the Stone Village?
There is a legend about this
place. A pilgrim once visited this village and asked for some food. The rich
men listened, then handed him a package, but when the pilgrim opened his gift,
he saw nothing but a stone. He was very angry. When the pilgrim left the
village, all the houses turned to stones. Nobody knew the pilgrim was the Lord
God Himself. On one of the stones the Lord God left his tracks.
Dzurinsky
waterfall
This
is the largest waterfall on the skirts, near the ruins of a castle. It is 16 m
high. It is the largest plain waterfalls of Ukraine.

Oleshky Sands
It is a semi – desert in the
south of Ukraine. It’s the largest sand territory in Ukraine, the only desert
in Europe. It is situated 30 km from Kherson at the Black Sea. The height of
the sand dunes is 5 – 6 meters. There are two dangers here: steppe spiders and
wolves.
Svityaz

In the middle of the lake
there is an island. The average depth of the lake is 6.9 m. the length of the
lake is 9.3 km. the biggest width is 8 km. the lake warms in the summer. The
water is very clean due to argent content with a sand bottom. Svityaz is very
popular destination for a family tourism. Children are always fond of the lake.
The Tunnel of love

It is a favourite place for
lovers to take walks.
